NBLC Season XI: Jaquan Lightfoot’s Greatest Hits

By Jack Ford

Forward Jaquan Lightfoot has made the move from the Southeastern Blackhawks in Iowa to the professional ranks seamlessly.

In his breakout season with the KW Titans the Brooklyner has played a key role on frontcourt and emerged as the league-wide fifth-best offensive rebounder. Finishing on 8.4 points on 56% shooting and 4.3 total rebounds per game, he has shown himself to be a top NBLC prospect and has earned himself the Rookie of the Year award.

See here Lightfoot's best moments from his first professional season:

April 2nd at Sudbury Five

On his second NBLC start, Lightfoot had a perfect game on offence, making every attempt at basket and came close to a double-double, scoring 11 points on 100% shooting along with eight total boards as KW got the eight-point road win over the Sudbury Five.

April 15th vs Windsor Express

Lightfoot's defensive and rebounding skills were most evident here, working the glass on both ends of the court, nearly earning himself a double-double but helping to ensure victory over the Windsor Express.

April 21st at Windsor Express

Three occasions throughout the season Lightfoot finished with seventeen points, all of them impressive, but on April 21st against the Windsor Express he did so in twenty-one minutes - second on the Titans behind Sam Akano - while also grabbing seven boards and helping KW come away with the win.
